Today was another clinic day in Hoi An. Our clinic was held in the village of one of our Vietnamese team members named Phuoc (we call him P Em). P Em is also an employee of COPI so helps out in multiple ways. The clinic was held in the community clinic where his sister is the head nurse. Besides being a wonderful person to work with, she made us the most delicious lunch! Today we saw about 160 adults and children. There were a few with more interesting medical problems than we have seen as of yet at our clinics. We also gave out 10 more bicycles to 6th-9th graders that were in need. They were chosen because of their economic status and the distance they have to travel to school. The ones chosen live 2-3 km from school.
Tomorrow we will be ready to go on a boat ride at 5 AM to see the fishing nets at sunrise and go to a village market. When we return we will have breakfast and visit the town of Hoi An. P Em will have the entire team to his house for dinner. In the past this has been one of the best meals of the entire trip.
